Privacy policy.

We collect very little: what you choose to send us, and what any web server needs to deliver a page. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Sequoia Labs (“we”, “us”) is an independent AI and product consulting firm. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit sequoialabs.ai, write to us, or talk to us about working together.

Work we do for clients is governed by the engagement agreement and non-disclosure agreement we sign with them. Where those agreements differ from this policy, they take precedence for that work.

2. What we collect

  • Information you send us. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you include: typically your name, organisation, role, email address and message, and anything you attach.
  • Information from working together. If we speak or work together, we keep notes, correspondence and the business contact details of the people involved.
  • Technical information. Like any website, when you load a page your browser sends our hosting provider standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. It is used to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse.

We don’t ask for sensitive personal information, and we ask you not to send it.

3. The contact form

Our contact form does not send anything to our servers. It opens your own email app with a draft addressed to info@sequoialabs.ai. Nothing reaches us unless you send that email, and you can edit or discard the draft first.

4. Cookies, analytics and tracking

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We don’t use analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or social-media widgets. Our fonts, scripts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn’t contact any third party.

Because nothing here tracks you, there is nothing to opt out of, and the site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

5. How we use information

We use what you send us to:

  • reply to you and decide together whether we are a good fit
  • scope, propose, deliver and invoice work
  • keep ordinary business records
  • keep the site and our systems secure
  • meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We don’t sell personal information, share it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.

Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, on the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you, and on our legal obligations.

6. Client materials

Documents, data, code and data-room access shared with us during an engagement or a due-diligence review are handled under the NDA and engagement agreement that cover the work. We use them only for that work. We don’t use one client’s materials for another client, publish them, or use them to train or improve AI models for anyone else.

Please don’t send confidential material before an NDA is in place. Email is convenient, but it is not a secure channel for that kind of information.

7. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the firm, such as Amazon Web Services, which hosts this site, and our email, document and accounting providers. They process information on our behalf and only as we instruct.
  • Specialists from our network who join an engagement, under confidentiality obligations and with the client’s agreement.
  • Authorities or other parties where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect our rights, our clients or others.
  • A successor organisation if Sequoia Labs is reorganised, merged or acquired, subject to the commitments in this policy.
  • Anyone else with your permission.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as we need them to respond and to keep an ordinary record of our business relationships, and client records for as long as the engagement agreement and the law require. When information is no longer needed, we delete it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

9. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, with strict browser security headers and no third-party code. We limit access to client and personal information to the people who need it for the work. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care in proportion to what you share with us.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To make a request, email info@sequoialabs.ai. We will respond within 30 days, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.

If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data-protection authority.

11. Where information is processed

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on them, such as the standard contractual clauses our providers offer.

12. Children

This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects information we already hold, we will tell the people affected.

14. Contact
